Again like any other skin tone or hair colour there is no set rule for all red heads when it comes to make-up application. It really depends on your skin tone and eye colour. Not all red heads have blue or green eyes and pale freckly skin. I know some red heads with dark brown eyes and dark eyelashes.
Making your eye colour pop is one of the most important things. This means that you choose a colour that is opposite to your eye colour on the Colour Wheel
- If you have Blue eyes then choose colours like copper, peach, gold, brown, bronze, taupe.
- If you have Green eyes choose plum, purple, mauve
- If you have Brown Eyes choose Navy, Green, Plum, Blue, Grey
sore. Again it depends on the shade of pink and your eye colour etc...
Foundation:
With foundations a very pink based tone can enhance the redness in your skin so it is often better to choose a more neutral or yellow toned foundation. Again it depends on your skin tone.
Eyelashes:
Tinting your eyelashes can also make a huge difference to your appearance as most red heads have very fair eyelashes. Otherwise a brown mascara can be lovely on Red Heads, although I do know a lot of my friends love their black mascara and would not even entertain brown mascara, so it really depends on the individual.
Lips:
Neutral lip colours are stunning on red heads with or without lip glosses. A red lip can also be beautiful once you choose the correct shade of red. Again red heads are always advised to stay away from pink, but I have seen a fuschia pink lip look stunning on girls with red hair.
