Exclusive Interview with Jane Swarbrigg from Inglot Cosmetics Ireland

1. Why do you think Inglot has become so popular so quickly in Ireland?
Inglot was introduced to the Irish Market 2 years ago in the middle of the recession, the excellent quality of our products and the reasonable prices were quickly recognized. All Inglot staff are fully qualified makeup artists who have a passion for the brand - customers can trust them to give honest advice.
Also we don’t discontinue many products or have seasonal products like other cosmetic brands, so customers favourite products are always on the shelves!

 2.    What is your favourite Inglot product?
Oh this is a hard one, but I'd have to say our Freedom System Collection - you can customize your own palettes and mix and match products and colours, designing the perfect palette to suit your needs. Palettes vary in size and you can use eyes, lips, concealers, blush and powder products.
We have over 15,000 colours and shades to chose from. Prices start at 15 euro so you can build up your own personal collection bit by bit.

    3.    Inglot products are of a very high quality and are very popular with make-up artists, how can you sell them so cheaply?
It was our intention from the start to keep prices as affordable as possible. MUA's are the people using the products on others and we recognize how important their custom is. If the experts love the products they are better than any advertising campaign or celebrity endorsement. We owe a lot to all those Inglot addicts out there spreading the word for us.

  4.    If you had 5 minutes to get ready what Inglot products would you use?
For my face begin with Under Make Up Base €20, YSM foundation €16, YSM Pressed Powder €16 and finish up by contouring with Multi Colour Highlighter 83 €20 and a touch of blush €14. On my eyes, Gel Liner 77 €14 and a lick of Volume and Waterproof Mascara €10 and define my brows with brow powder or wax.
Lastly a slick of Lip Gloss Sleeks #92 €12 on my lips. That will give me a nice polished look and the Under Make up Base will ensure my make up lasts all day.

 5.    What advice would you give to make-up artists starting out in the industry?
Practice, practice, practice - the more practice you get the more confident you become and your clients will feel at ease and put their trust in you.
Always use top quality products and invest in a set of good quality brushes, these are your tools of the trade and in the long run they will last much longer than cheap, poor quality brushes.

 6.    What is your best selling product?
Gel Liner No.77, this matte true black gel eyeliner is waterproof, has amazing staying power and the color doesn’t fade. Its best applied with a thin Eyeliner Brush and comes off really easily with our oil based Waterproof Make Up Remover. Its just €14 and a pot will last you months.

 7.    If you could have any celebrity to represent the Inglot brand, who would it be and why?
Una Healy (The Saturdays)- shes gorgeous, successful and talented but still seems so down to earth and fun loving.
Una always looks effortlessly stylish and her make up is always flawless...and of course she’s Irish!

8.    What is your Beauty Regime like?
I like the natural look but also love getting dolled up and go for dramatic eyes and lashes if we're doing a themed event in store or on a night out.
I religiously cleanse, tone and moisturize at night and am addicted to our Under Make Up Base, which I apply daily before my make up. Inglot's primer has a luxurious, velvety texture that feels amazing on the skin. It ensures foundation doesn’t clog my pores, preventing any oily spots, it also mattifies the skin allowing a smooth make-up application and long lasting coverage.

  9.    What are your favorite eyelashes from Inglot?
Number 19S individuals €10 or if I really want to vamp it up strip lashes Number 17S also €10.

 10.    Any Insider news from Inglot that you can reveal exclusively to Make-up World?
Inglot No.4 is in the pipeline.....A beautiful flagship store. We'll be announcing the location very soon :)

Thank you Jane!
